WiFi Network Access

Wireless access to the University network and the Internet.

What You Need to Know

菠菜网lol正规平台 offers three main wireless networks for different users or systems:

  • eduroam
    • A secure network for students, faculty and staff that provides encrypted connectivity for wireless users who have an account with an yqczg.net email address. This is the preferred network for those with an 菠菜网lol正规平台 account.
    • Eduroam replaces the 菠菜网lol正规平台_premier network. 菠菜网lol正规平台_premier will be retired in late September.
    • Students, faculty, and staff can connect to hundreds of secure networks across the world using their 菠菜网lol正规平台 login. Eduroam is an international roaming service that has thousands of participating universities, libraries, and other learning institutions. There are over 2,000 available eduroam networks across the United States, including at least one in every major city and many throughout the SF Bay Area and California. Visit Eduroam to find your nearest network.
    • Note: you must use your 菠菜网lol正规平台 email address (not your Tower ID) to log into eduroam.
  • 菠菜网lol正规平台_guest
    • This is an open, unencrypted wireless network for campus visitors.
    • The guest network has less bandwidth and less access than eduroam, and therefore is not intended to be used by students, faculty, or staff.
  • 菠菜网lol正规平台_device
    • A network for students, faculty, and staff to self-register network-enabled devices (such as gaming consoles, Apple TV, etc.) that do not support WPA2 security.
    • Devices can be registered by their MAC address at the portal device.yqczg.net. The MAC address is typically listed on the back or bottom of your device, with the format XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX (six groups of two hexadecimal digits, with colons, dashes, or no separators). You will need to log in with your 菠菜网lol正规平台 account, and be on an 菠菜网lol正规平台 network to access the portal.
