Put your Major to Work in a Paid Co-Op Position
Interested in a co-op position? Co-ops typically involve full-time (35 - 40 hours per week) paid work experience with the same employer over at least one semester and adjacent summer (6 contiguous months). Work is closely related to the student’s major. Some students work at a co-op for three or even four terms over the course of their programs, which is typically a combination of some semesters and summers. Co-op students gain financial support along with significant professional experience prior to graduation. Employers often make full-time offers to students upon completion of a co-op. The best time to start a co-op is sophomore or junior year, although freshmen may be eligible for some co-ops. You can find out more information about co-ops here.
